As part of its efforts to preserve and promote the cultural values of Vietnamese tea, MAITE has conducted a series of on-site survey activities in Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, and Ba Vi.

On August 25, MAITE, in coordination with representatives of the Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, surveyed the province’s renowned tea-growing areas. The delegation met with artisans and experts, gaining insights into cultivation practices and traditional cultural values. These activities laid the groundwork for the journey toward recognizing Vietnamese tea as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, while also raising awareness of tea preservation and sustainable development.

Subsequently, on December 22–23, MAITE collaborated with UNESCO, IMEXCO Vietnam, and representatives of the Cultural Heritage Council to conduct surveys in Hanoi and Ba Vi.
On December 22, the delegation surveyed Hanoi’s iconic cultural sites, including the Old Quarter of Hoan Kiem and the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam.
On December 23, the delegation traveled to Ba Vi, working with the commune-level People’s Committee, local cooperatives, and conducting on-site surveys of the Phu Yen tea-growing area (Ba Vi), providing a basis for orienting tea product development linked to raw material regions and cultural values. This series of activities represents an important step by MAITE in connecting tea-growing regions, cultural spaces, and heritage values, contributing to the promotion and elevation of Vietnamese tea.
